Sency’s motion analysis solution, Movement Operation System (M-OS), uses proprietary algorithms to provide users with real time movement feedback. The company’s SDK means the M-OS can be integrated into third party fitness apps, health platforms or product solutions.
In 2021, athlete app Wodproof was acquired by Sency, bringing a ‘bionic mobility experience’ to users which improved range of motion through personalised mobility plans. The ‘bionic rowing’ feature tracks an athlete’s body joints and compares the positioning to a gold standard rowing technique – created with indoor rowing world champion Anna Mühle. All users need are their smartphone and the app.
The company’s Sency Health app harnesses the M-OS to assess flexibility, balance and power and provides users with a personalised daily exercise plan and improved mobility.
“We built the most advanced technology to understand human movement and our unique Movement-OS can integrate different use cases in different markets, for example, fitness or digital health for rehab or prevention,” said Sency’s CEO Gal Rotman. “If someone has back pain, for instance, we provide personalised protocols to overcome back pain. The exercises are provided, along with real-time feedback to help with the right posture to prevent injuries and provide motivation.”
The Sency team can provide hybrid solutions to serve customers in-gym and at home with the goal of improving member satisfaction, retention and engagement. It can also be used across a variety of industries and user cases, such as 360 body assessments, technique correction and pose recognition.
According to Rotman, Sency's computer vision technology is particularly effective in assessing movements that are difficult to track using traditional sensors. Sency can also deliver on custom projects that are specific to a club or product.
