07 Sep 2021
Technogym have been awarded the Supplier of the Year Award / Technogym
The best in class of the physical activity sector have been revealed at the ukactive Awards 2021.

Technogym have been awarded the Supplier of the Year Award, with the independent judging panel commenting on the market leading innovation and the high level of commitment to the work with operators to increase physical activity.

The ukactive Awards represent the biggest celebration of excellence in the sector’s calendar and this year marks an opportunity to celebrate the sector and recognise success, both prior to and during the pandemic.

Around 500 viewers tuned in to see Paralympic champion and ukactive Chair, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, and Olympian, Professor Greg Whyte, announce the winners of 20 categories during an online ceremony that brought reflection, celebration, and positivity for the future.

This year’s awards, held in partnership with Active IQ, combined entrants from 2020 and 2021 following the postponement of last year’s event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, making the competition tougher than ever.

Huw Edwards, CEO of ukactive, said: “We know the ukactive Awards play an important role in celebrating the success of our united movement each year, but this year’s entries were particularly inspiring, considering the challenges faced by every organisation and team in our incredible sector.”

“Congratulations to the Technogym team for winning the Supplier of the Year award – the work of key stakeholders such as suppliers is integral to the success of our sector, and it is fantastic to hear our judges praise Technogym for its excellence and innovation in supporting operators and promoting physical activity.”

Nerio Alessandri, CEO and Founder of Technogym, said “On behalf of the entire Technogym team we are proud to have received the UK Active Award, in recognition of our products and digital solutions level of innovation and of our contribution to spread the culture of wellness as a social opportunity for the entire country.

"A special mention also goes to all our customers, partners and to the Technogym UK team, whose dedication and commitment demonstrates the power of our sector. Now, more than ever, the Wellness opportunity has come into clear focus, and we look forward to continuing to lead the way in the months and years ahead.”
