Jason Worthy is taking up the role of CEO at Anytime Fitness UK
He takes over from Neil Randall who became CEO of TrainMore and Clubsportive at Urban Gym Group (UGG)
Worthy was formerly at Rugby Works Brunswick Corporation and president and CEO at Life Fitness
Anytime Fitness UK has over 185 franchised clubs in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland
Jason Worthy has been announced as the new CEO of Anytime Fitness UK.

He succeeds Neil Randall who moved to become CEO of Netherlands-based Urban Gym Group (UGG) – owner of the Train More and Clubsportive brands – in November 2022.

Worthy's appointment follows a stint at Dallaglio Rugby Works, where he was CEO between 2020 and March 2022, helping the sports charity navigate an “unprecedented period” during the pandemic.

Worthy was previously at Brunswick Corporation, the organisation that sold Life Fitness to KPS Capital Partners in 2019 for US$490m cash. There he held the role of VP international, growing the Freedom Boat Club across the EMEA and APAC regions.

Between 2012 and 2019 he was president and CEO of Life Fitness as it was spun off ready for the disposal.

Before Life Fitness, Worthy led global procurement for Fitness First where he also co-launched its budget club chain, the now defunct Klick Fitness whose sites were largely taken over by Pure Gym in 2014.

Anytime Fitness is a global gym franchise with 4m members in 40 countries. The UK division has 185 franchised clubs in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland and supports more than 180,000 members.

Speaking to HCM, Worthy said: “The UK is a hugely important market for Anytime Fitness and although we have a strong business here, we still have lots of potential for growth and I’m excited to get started."

Chair, Andy Thompson, said: “The UK remains a key territory for Anytime Fitness globally and while the coming months will not be without their challenges for the fitness sector, with Jason’s knowledge of franchising and the fitness industry, combined with the strengths he brings from his years of senior-level experience, we believe he's a fantastic appointment.”
