Urban Health Club in Ludwigsburg, Germany, has introduced a 24/7 operation.

The €2.8m hub for fitness, wellness, athletics, calisthenics – which forms part of the Urban Harbor regeneration project – has added a UHC The Gym concept, which includes an outdoor gym.

UHC The Gym will be open to members 24/7 and is the latest addition to the Urban Health Club offering.

In addition to classic fitness facilities and training options, the club offers crosslift, dance and reformer Pilates – as well as a UHC Spa, which is open to members as well as operating as a standalone business for non-members.

Speaking to HCM, Urban Health Club founder and CEO, Philipp Maier, said the addition of 24/7 training will also be introduced in other, soon-to-be-opened areas.

Describing the club's plans, Maier said: "The immediate future will see us completing our 24/7 outdoor gym and building the rest of our new ‘UHC The Gym’, which will also be 24/7."

He added that, as further sites are identified, there is scope to take the club concept nationwide across Germany.

"Further locations are planned in various metropolitan areas over the coming years," Maier revealed.

"I then intend to re-imagine the Urban Health Club concept at least every five years."
