US media group, Questex, has struck a deal to co-locate Sibec EU alongside FIBO Cologne in 2021
Sibec EU will also link with the EHFF convention
The events take place in Cologne, Germany in the week commencing 1 November 2021
Sibec EU was originally slated to take place at the Forte Village Resort in Sardinia, Italy from 2-4 November
Questex, owner of industry buyer event, Sibec EU, has announced it will partner with FIBO in 2021, moving the event alongside the trade show and EuropeActive conference in Cologne during the week of 1 November.

Sibec EU was originally scheduled to take place at the Forte Village Resort in Sardinia, Italy from 2-4 November.

Sibec event director, Robert Shannon, said: "In November, Questex/Sibec, EuropeActiv and FIBO Global Fitness will come together in a 2021 partnership. Our common goal is to remove pandemic-related hurdles for the fitness industry and to make travel easier again in this transitional year.

Details of the event format have not yet been released, but Shannon said the core Sibec EU one-to-one appointments will remain the focus of the event.

It is not known if this is one-off collaboration, or whether Sibec will continue as part of FIBO in 2022.

Sibec was founded by event entrepreneur Noor Kassam in 1996 and sold to US media group, Questex, in 2007.

HCM magazine is global media partner of the FIBO Global Fitness cycle of trade shows, which take place in Europe, China, the US, Brazil and Singapore and media partner of EuropeActive, organisers of EHFF, the European Health and Fitness Forum, which takes place during FIBO Cologne.
