The membership will be made available across Anytime’s 155+ UK clubs
Anytime Fitness is looking to tap into the increasingly active older population with the launch of Anytime Prime, an exclusive membership for the over 55s.
The membership will be made available across Anytime’s 155+ UK clubs and will provide a number of focused benefits to help older exercisers achieve their fitness goals and lead healthy and social lifestyles.
These include tailored, low-impact group exercises classes which focus on balance and flexibility, a dedicated personal trainer for specific training and support, social activities for during off-peak hours and local partnerships that support the local community.
“The over 55s are a growing demographic,” said Stuart Broster, Anytime Fitness UK CEO.
“As well as the membership benefits in the club, our clubs are establishing key local partnerships so ‘Prime’ members can enjoy a number of exclusive discounts and opportunities within their local community.”
Franchised fitness giant Anytime Fitness has set out plans to open 25 new clubs in the state of
New York – with a specific focus on the cities of Rochester and Buffalo.
Self Esteem Brands, the parent company of Anytime Fitness, has purchased The Bar Method – a low-
impact fitness franchise with 123 studios across US and Canada – for an undisclosed sum.
Anytime Fitness has become the first franchise operator to have a location on all seven continents –
following the launch of a gym onboard the Magellan Explorer ship.
Nuffield Health’s fourth annual survey, the Healthier Nation Index, has found people moved

Short-term incentives for exercise, such as using daily reminders, rewards or games, can lead
to sustained increases in activity according to new research.
