ukactive expands annual awards – adds Active Training Awards to schedule
POSTED 25 Feb 2019 . BY Tom Walker
For the first time, the flagship event will also feature the Active Training Awards
ukactive has revealed a shake-up of its annual awards by adding a raft of new categories.

New gongs to be handed out now include Activation of the Year – which celebrates any event or campaign that has inspired people to be more active – and Digital Transformation of the Year, for organisations demonstrating successful digital integration in the way their business is run.

For the first time, the flagship event will also feature the Active Training Awards – celebrating the champions of workforce development – which were last year handed out in a separate event held in November.

The entry deadline for this year's ukactive Awards is 15 March and the awards gala night will take place on 6 June in Manchester.

“The physical activity sector is larger and more diverse than ever before, encompassing thousands of organisations that contribute towards getting more people more active, more often," said ukactive CEO Steven Ward said.

“That’s why we have expanded the ukactive Awards and it’s truly exciting to bring everyone together in one place to celebrate brand new areas of impact and success stories from the exemplars in our incredible sector.”
