FunXtion Interactive Platform to debut in US at wellness centre
POSTED 08 Feb 2017 . BY Deven Pamben
Matthew Janusze is the co-founder of Escape Fitness
Training solutions provider Escape Fitness will be debuting the FunXtion Interactive Platform in the US at The Cliffs at Mountain Park in Asheville, North Carolina.

FunXtion is a cloud-based platform that makes functional training safe, effective, accessible and motivational for users of all levels.

Making use of technology, intelligence and gamification through a touchscreen interactive station, app, website and wristband, FunXtion allows members to customise their own workouts via a virtual trainer, learn fitness movements, record their performance, and get a full overview of their exercise activities.

In addition to the touchscreen interactive station is the Escape Fitness Octagon, an indoor functional frame that incorporates 12 different training stations that work in tandem to offer a full body workout, using tools such as monkey bars, suspension trainers, adjustable hurdles, an agility ladder, battle ropes, kettlebells, medicine balls and sand bags to help build strength and agility.

Matthew Januszek, Escape Fitness co-founder, said: “It’s fitting that FunXtion’s first availability in the US is at The Cliff’s newest wellness centre as it is renowned for its dedication to health and wellness. Like Escape, The Cliffs is focused on enjoyable, innovative wellness solutions that help people push beyond their perceived boundaries to perform better in their daily lives.”

Ryan Kamszik, The Cliffs at Mountain Park wellness manager, added: “This is a departure from anything else available at The Cliffs’ wellness centres. It’s engaging, intuitive and functional, and the workout possibilities are only limited to your imagination. It’s a creative, fun way to train, and our hope is that it sparks motivation for our members to achieve their fitness goals, and reinvigorates excitement over what the body can do, while making it easier than ever to live a balanced, active lifestyle, on their own schedule.”

The wellness centre will also include the cardio classroom, gym equipment including free weights, pulleys and resistance cables, and high-tech cardiovascular kit.
