Exercise provider Les Mills has relaunched fitness programmes at LiveWire leisure centres in Warrington, Cheshire.
Les Mills regional master trainer, Michelle Nicholls, delivered a masterclass on the latest BodyPump 100 and BodyCombat 70 routines to 200 locals during a three-hour session on Saturday (14 January) after short break from leisure centres in Warrington. BodyPump is a stationary workout that uses light to moderate weights with lots of repetition to help shape and tone the body, while BodyCombat is a non-contact high-energy martial arts-inspired workout.
The BodyPump 100 masterclass coincided with the international launch of the programme, with gyms across the world trying out the new routine for the first time.
LiveWire is a community interest group and largest provider of leisure, library and lifestyle services in the Warrington area. Jake Smith, fitness coordinator at LiveWire, said: “It was fantastic to see so many people try out the new Les Mills routines and judging by the electric atmosphere in the room, everyone had a great time. “We hope that the masterclass sessions will inspire more people to make BodyPump and BodyCombat part of their regular exercise programmes.” As part of the relaunch, LiveWire has also made Les Mills On Demand available for members and non-members to subscribe to. The on-the-go programme allows users to complete more than 100 Les Mills workouts at home that can be accessed anytime and anywhere via a mobile device.
Five million people attend Les Mills classes worldwide every week.
