Miha Bodytec expands to the UK
POSTED 20 Dec 2016 . BY Tom Walker
The Miha Bodytec system was developed by German engineers and is now being sold in more than 30 countries
Germany-based Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) equipment specialist Miha Bodytec has opened a branch office in London.

The company’s UK operations will be run under a wholly-owned subsidiary led by the newly appointed regional director Thomas Ott.

Miha Bodytec’s managing director, Jürgen Decker, said the launch of a base in the UK is a logical step.

"Along with the rapid growth of EMS in Germany, we observe a growing international demand,” Decker said.

“The UK is one of the most important European fitness markets. Thus, as a world market leader, our own presence here is overdue.

“This allows us to offer the fastest delivery possible as well as the same high-quality support as in Germany."

Launched in 2007, Miha Bodytec now exports around 70 per cent of its equipment and has a sales presence in 30 countries.

The system was developed by German engineers and has since become widespread, not only in professional sports and rehabilitation, but also within the fitness and active leisure industry.

Users include Olympic gold medalist sprinter Usain Bolt, tennis star Rafael Nadal, and the Bayern Munich FC squad.
