Les Mills UK bolsters team with raft of appointments
POSTED 03 Nov 2014 . BY Jak Phillips
(L-R) New recruits Justine Williams, Dave Alstead and Natalie Prescott
Les Mills UK has added four new members to its team as it gears up for a busy couple of months in terms of events and product launches.

The company is in the process of launching its new Born To Move programme – designed to get kids active – and is set to hold its final GFX fitness festival event for 2014 in Liverpool in November. As it gears up for a big year ahead, the company has appointed:

• Justine Williams as product manager to head up the brand new Born To Move programme. Williams has more than 20 years’ experience in business development and joins Les Mills from Lifetime Training. She is best known in the industry for creating her own children’s activity training company called SHOKK.

• Dave Alstead joins as a customer experience manager for the north west. Alstead has strong experience in club operations, including time with David Lloyd Leisure, coupled with a solid equipment sales background from his most recent role with Matrix Fitness. A certificated Les Mills instructor, Alstead is tasked with helping Les Mills customers in the north west increase the attendance of their group exercise programmes through club management education seminars, world class programmes and ongoing training.

• Natalie Prescott becomes head of product sales to further strengthen the customer experience Team. After a customer relationship and business development role with Powerplate UK, Natalie has launched the new Les Mills products – Smartbar, Smartstep and Bodybike into the UK market and is looking to further expand this Les Mills offering.

• Finally, trainer Steve Tansey will occupy the newly created role of ‘tribe trainee’, based at the London HQ. Tansey will be working with the instructor experience and customer experience teams to improve standards and service to both instructors and club operators. Tansey became a Les Mills Instructor back in 2000 and quickly rose through the instructor and trainer ranks to his most recent role of technical coach for Les Mills UK Bodycombat.

Keith Burnet, CEO of Les Mills UK said: “It’s great to see the tribe growing and like-minded people coming together to work towards the same goal – to make the world a fitter planet. We are building a strong team in the UK and it’s a seriously exciting time.”
