POSTED 09 Dec 2013 . BY Chris Dodd
The spa implements a range of dry and wet thermal technologies
A luxury five-star hotel has opened in France’s prestigious Val Thorens region, with the facility boasting an 800sq m (8,611 sq ft) spa with treatments from Valmont, Star Wellness.

The Koh-I Nor Valmont Spa at the Koh-I Nor Hotel, Val Thorens provides guests with access to a leading array of spa facilities, as well as two pools and a dedicated fitness centre.

For those looking for spa treatments, the spa offers four treatment rooms managed by Star Wellness with a full array of massage and beauty treatments available, while the facility also houses a sun lounge incorporating sun-bath stations.

The spa also implements a range of dry and wet thermal technologies through the use of a sauna, a hammam, a Jacuzzi, experience showers, a salt wall and an ice fountain to help ease muscle tension, improve blood circulation and aid relaxation.

The site features a gym, which is equipped with weight training and cardio equipment, including exercise bikes, treadmills and rowing machines. A personal trainer is also available on request to help devise a fitness programme, or simply assist with visitors’ regimes.

The Koh-I Nor Hotel is situated in the Three Valleys area, perched atop of the highest skiing region in Europe to offer guests uninterrupted views over Val Thorens. The hotel provides 63 rooms and suites, as well as 35 apartments.
