Bay Leisure, the operator of Swansea's LC complex, has secured a contract to manage the Welsh city's new dual-purpose water and beach sports centre when it opens later this year.

The group said it will be working in partnership with Swansea University to run the facility after it opens in the autumn and aims to offer a year-round destination for the community.

Windsurfing, kayaking, kite surfing and open-water swimming are among the activities that will be on offer at the centre, while facilities will also include a café and changing areas.
