Keep your members coming to your gym for more than 66 days straight and your retention levels could rise.
According to recent research, 66 days is the length of time it takes for people to form a habit.
The study, conducted by University College London (UCL), focused on volunteers who adopted a daily duty such as eating fruit or drinking a glass of water with their lunch, or going for a 15-minute run before dinner.
The average length of time before they automatically carried them out was 66 days. However, it typically took longer to form an exercise habit than a healthy eating or drinking habit.
