Leisure management company DC Leisure has agreed a deal with Health2Fitness, making the group the exclusive supplier of Urban Rebounding equipment.
Health2Fitness launched Urban Rebounding in the UK in 2005. The group exercise class is set to music and performed on mini-trampolines.
The exercise is accomplished by jumping only a few inches off the surface of the rebounder for a cardiovascular workout that aims to strengthen and tone the whole body.
Following the deal, DC Leisure will increase the availability of Urban Rebounding within its centres as part of the Sport Unlimited scheme.
The £36m Sport England programme was launched in 2008 and aims to get more children playing sport outside of school. It specifically targets those aged between five and 19 who are not naturally attracted to sport.
The workout is based on low impact and the trampolines absorb 87 per cent of the shock compared with doing the same exercises on the floor.
