As part of a campaign to promote group exercise (GX) in its clubs, Fitness First Spain recently ran a three-month competition for the best group fitness instructor across the whole Fitness First Spain network - The GX Factor.
The competition was structured similarly to TV's X Factor: instructors nominated by their club fitness manager were asked to send in videos of their classes.
A grand final saw six finalists go head to head, judged on everything from the welcome to class structure and motivational skills. First prize, a trip to the International Aerobics Convention in Turkey, was won by Riki Navarro of Fitness First Los Fresnos in Gijón.
