We are looking for a capable and committed Team Leader for our fitness team at this flagship sport and leisure venue in the heart of Sheffield. As Team Leader you will manage the performance of the Fitness Team and provide strong leadership which drives our ICAN customer service culture. You will ensure a safe and quality experience for all members and effectively manage and deliver an effective group exercise timetable whilst proactively monitoring and driving member engagement within the gym. Role • Assist the Fitness manager in the efficient management of the fitness services and staff within the venue(s) by providing strong leadership which drives the ICAN culture, service standards and productivity of the fitness teams. • Manage the performance of the fitness teams to ensure successful delivery of all fitness services and standards. • Ensure a safe and quality experience, through service standards, which contributes to the retention of customers and enhancement of the Trusts reputation. • Effectively manage and deliver an effective group exercise timetable in line with the venue and company objectives • To proactively monitor and drive member engagement at gym floor level, owning member feedback and partnering with your Fitness Manager to ensure a safe and legal environment for members to train in. • To cover the gym floor and classes at peak/busy times as the business demands. Organising cover for staff and classes as required. Essential Qualifications • Gym Instructor level 2 • Experience working in a fitness or leisure environment • Experience managing a team • Experience of working with customers and ability to manage and form positive working relationships • Experience of working on your own initiative and as part of a team • Experience delivering fitness classes. • Exceptional organisational skills • Excellent IT skills, including word and excel • Excellent communication skills Desirable Qualifications • Personal trainer level 3 • Exercise to music level 2 • Knowledge of the fitness and leisure industry • Knowledge of personal training • Knowledge of group ex timetables and programming In return we provide fantastic employee benefits including access to our amazing leisure facilities around Sheffield including gyms, pools, golf courses as well as a generous employer contributed pension scheme, health and wellbeing products, social activities and more.
