High-level training is not only about intensity and performance, but also about the ability to build consistency over time through a conscious approach to recovery.
In athlete Marcell Jacobs’ training journey, recovery is a structural part of the process: a tool to preserve balance, movement quality and both physical and mental resilience.
This shared vision is the foundation of his collaboration with Starpool and the integration of wellness technologies within the Jacobs Center in Desenzano del Garda, a space designed to connect training, athletic preparation, and recovery.
During his preparation for the Tokyo 2025 World Championships, Jacobs integrated Zerobody Cryo and Zerobody Dry Float into his daily routines, using them both before training sessions and within post-performance recovery protocols.
Recovery is just as important as training in my preparation journey
Through gradual cold exposure, Zerobody Cryo supports physical load management and promotes faster recovery after sprint and strength sessions. Consistent use helps maintain continuity and quality throughout training, even during the most demanding periods of the season.
Alongside this, Zerobody Dry Float introduces a complementary dimension focused on neuromuscular relaxation and mental recovery. The body floats on warm water without the need to undress or get wet, creating a suspended condition that promotes decompression and psychophysical relaxation
Over time, this approach has contributed to improving recovery quality and managing both physical and mental stress, reinforcing the idea that training and recovery are not separate moments, but part of the same process.
