Wattbike has joined the EGYM ecosystem as a connected partner
Wattbike’s VO2 max test will inform the Cardio BioAge score of individuals
Users will be able to track their cycling workouts and easily monitor improvements
Wattbike has announced a new integration with EGYM, which enables the bikes to contribute to the Cardio BioAge score of individuals via a VO2 max result.
The Wattbike Healthspan VO2 max check test gives accurate VO2 max estimates without invasive gas analysis and extra operational cost. This integration will allow operators to enhance member onboarding, drive deeper personalisation and create a more motivating training environment. Members can see their output clearly and track their improvements.
Tino Tsolakis, vice president partner relations at EGYM says: "Wattbike is globally recognised as a leader in performance cycling and cardiorespiratory assessment. By integrating its proven VO2 max capabilities into the EGYM ecosystem, we're giving operators another powerful tool to deliver highly personalised experiences and measurable health outcomes. This partnership reinforces our commitment to building the industry's most connected ecosystem for fitness and wellbeing."
The Wattbike testing process has been trusted for more than 10 years in the UK with British Army, Nuffield Health, Bupa Clinics, and tens of thousands of tests a year with Discovery Health in South Africa.
“Wattbike is excited to join the EGYM family of connected partners,” says Steve Marshall, Wattbike’s head of commercial. “We bring over a decade of experience in delivering VO2 max estimate testing in labs and gyms globally and we're thrilled to combine with EGYM to bring this credibility to the EGYM ecosystem globally.”
