Fitness Worx Gyms is offering blood tests as a new service
CEO Jack Gibson says it’s another way of helping members take control of their health
Results are delivered via an easy-to-read app format, with an integrated option to book professional GP consultations if required
Available diagnostics span testosterone and hormonal health, sports performance, recovery, iron status, and liver or kidney screens

Independent operator, Fitness Worx Gyms, is introducing private blood testing as a service to members.

CEO, Jack Gibson, told HCM the move is driven by the desire to give members quick and convenient access to information about important health markers, which can be difficult to get from the health service.

“We see it as another way of helping people take control of their health and wellbeing,” he says. “More people than ever are interested in understanding what's happening inside their bodies and getting a true picture of their health. Blood testing provides a 360-degree view, helping people identify areas they can improve, while also highlighting the positive progress they've already made.”

He says there's been widespread interest from both performance and longevity perspectives.

“Everyone wants to know what's going on under the bonnet these days,” he says. “We've seen interest from younger members in their late teens right through to people in their 60s. Understanding your health is relevant at every age, so it's something that can benefit almost anyone."

Members receive the results through the Fitness Worx app, where the information is presented in an easy-to-understand format. There's also the option to book a consultation with a doctor if anything comes back that requires further investigation or professional guidance.

Tests available include testosterone and hormonal health, sports performance, recovery and stress testing, iron status, thyroid health, and liver and kidney checks.
