Urban Gym Group acquires new site in Rotterdam
Vongdelgym Rotterdam will be rebranded as Trainmore Rotterdam de Meent
Recovery and reformer Pilates will be among the additions

Urban Gym Group (UGG) has acquired Vondelgym Rotterdam, further strengthening its presence in one of the Netherlands’ most dynamic urban markets.
Vondelgym Rotterdam has built a loyal local community with a focus on performance, consistency and no‑nonsense training, making it a strong cultural fit with Urban Gym Group’s vision for urban fitness. It will be rebranded as Trainmore Rotterdam de Meent, a TrainMore Black Label club.
Members will enjoy inclusive benefits such as coffee, tea, protein shakes and sports water. The club will also introduce reformer Pilates, a multifunctional training zone, Hyrox and a dedicated red‑light therapy and recovery area.
TrainMore offers strength training equipment, a strong boutique‑in‑gym proposition and an increasing emphasis on recovery, and is built the brand on the concept of giving a €1 discount per workout.
Urban Gym Group continues to grow through a combination of organic expansion and strategic acquisitions in major cities. “We're actively looking for new opportunities,” says Randall. “We welcome conversations with developers, landlords and gym owners with strong urban locations who are interested in long‑term partnerships.”
This is the 50th site in Netherlands and the brand is coming to London soon.
