Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open its first resort in the Maldives in 2025.

Complete with a signature Bulgari spa, the Bulgari Resort Ranfushi will be the 13th property in Bulgari’s hospitality portfolio – a group owned by Marriott International.

The resort will be set in the Raa Atoll in the Maldives archipelago and span 20 hectares of pristine natural beauty.

Surrounded by clear blue waters and lush gardens, it will feature 54 rooms including an exclusive Bulgari Villa set on its own island, plus 33 beach villas with individual swimming pools and 20 overwater villas.

Bulgari group CEO Jean-Christophe Babin said: “We’re particularly proud to have secured such an extraordinary location for the new Bulgari Resort Ranfushi, as the Maldives is an important destination for our clients from all over the world.

“We’re convinced that this new gem of a hospitality location will ensure once again the highest levels of quality and innovation to our international customers. We look forward to sharing with them the Bulgari values in hospitality at this new, very exclusive location.”

Like all Bulgari properties, the Italian architectural firm ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel will lead the design of the resort, which Bulgari claims will adhere to the strictest sustainability standards in every area.

The resort will also be home to four signature Bulgari culinary experiences, a Bulgari boutique, La Galleria and The Bulgari Bar.

Having grown from a collection of three locations in Milan, London and Bali, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts’ collection now includes properties in Beijing, Shanghai, Dubai and Paris.

In addition to the anticipated opening in the Maldives, four new Bulgari Hotels are due to open between 2023 and 2026 in Los Angeles, Rome, Miami and Tokyo.

Bulgari has been a part of the LVMH Group since 2011.
