Helena Field launches new wellbeing consultancy and initiative, Action Wellbeing
POSTED 21 Jul 2020 . BY Megan Whitby
Previously GM of the UK Spa Association, Field has experience as a massage therapist, fitness, spa and wellbeing manager, PT and a health and wellbeing coach
Industry figure, Helena Field, is launching a new initiative called Action Wellbeing, designed to provide wellbeing services for business, communities and individuals.

Action Wellbeing is designed to empower employers to create a space for wellbeing in the workplace, support communities with wellbeing initiatives and encourage individuals to take ownership of their own personal wellbeing journeys.

The service will act as a consultancy, coaching resource and information provider specialising in all aspects of wellbeing, as well as an audit service for the workplace to assess an organisation’s overall wellbeing and guidance for employers seeking to improve their company’s stance on wellbeing.

According to Field, by actioning wellbeing in their workplace, their communities and their personal life, an individual has the opportunity to live a healthy, happy and comfortable life.

Previously GM of the UK Spa Association, Field has experience as a massage therapist, fitness, spa and wellbeing manager, PT and a health and wellbeing coach.

She has run some of the UK’s well-known spa and wellbeing facilities including Champneys in Tring, Harrods in Knightsbridge, Pennyhill Park in Surrey and Mandarin Oriental in London.

The inspiration for the initiative came after Field faced chronic stress and burnout in 2016.

This kickstarted her personal journey to revive her own wellbeing while also demonstrating how vital it was not just to nurture her own individual wellbeing at home but also to have the tools and support available within her workplace and community.

Field has spent four years exploring the world of wellbeing by tapping her industry contacts, working with coaches, seeking initiatives in her community and conducting personal research to allow her to experience and understand the benefits of sleep, nutrition, exercise, connectedness and self-care for her mental and physical health.

Field believes everyone should have access to support, information, training, coaching and initiatives that support their wellbeing, which ultimately was the driving force behind Action Wellbeing’s inception.

“Since 2018 I had been providing talent services for spas and then regrettably and like many, I was forced to close this side of the business when COVID-19 hit,” explained Field.

“However, in addition to talent services, SpaPulse had been evolving its portfolio into other areas of wellbeing, notably workplace wellbeing and individual coaching. So when the talent side ceased in March I accelerated plans to offer wellbeing services to companies and individuals.

“Improving the lives of others has always been a passion of mine and with recent developments across the globe, now more than ever we need to stay connected and focus on our wellbeing at home and at work.

She concluded: “Having this focus throughout lockdown has been incredibly positive for my own physical and mental wellbeing and I now hope to help others benefit from the coaching, guidance and support I can offer.”
