Portugal-based operator Vivafit has taken its female-only franchised concept to Kuwait, with the opening of a health club at the Awtad Shopping Mall in the city of Al Jahra. The 400sq m (4,300sq ft) club has two group exercise studios – hosting Vivafit's signature Sbarre, Burn It and FlexIt classes – a personal training studio, changing rooms and a prayer room. The class schedule is programmed and updated regularly to avoid classes during praying times. Vivafit has signed a master franchise agreement for Kuwait with Team4, a company specialising in franchised operations in the country. The entry to the Kuwaiti market is the latest new region for Vivafit, which already has a presence in Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Pakistan, Uruguay and Portugal.
