The Bannatyne Group continues expansion, opening Colchester spa
POSTED 22 Aug 2017 . BY Ben Coxon
The spa has seen upgrades to its relaxation areas
The Bannatyne Group has expanded its spa portfolio with a £1m refurbishment of the Colchester, Kingsford Park club in England, part of its 2017 expansion plans.

The six-figure investment has allowed the Kingsford Park Spa to offer new and updated facilities, including a treatment room to cater for group bookings of up to six, a rasul room for mud therapy treatments and VIP Elemis 1st Class treatment suites.

“The new spa is essential to support our aim to deliver a holistic health and wellbeing service to our customers and will enhance the health club facilities," said Karen Wilkinson, group head of spa for The Bannatyne Group. “It allows us to take the spa service to a new level, which everyone can enjoy – both members and guests.”

The spa now offers heated water beds and heated stone beds within its relaxation areas, as well as a sauna, gym, swimming pool and restaurant. In addition, an Elemis retail shop has Skinlab face-mapping treatments on the menu.

Bannatyne – a UK health and fitness company that runs 68 health clubs – has been rapidly expanding the number of spas it operates, planning for seven new spas in 2017.

All new locations will feature Elemis products and treatments, with new locations in Crewe, Wakefield, Blackpool also now open for business.
