TEA returning to Lapland in 2017 for SATE event
POSTED 19 Dec 2016 . BY Tom Anstey
TEA president David Willrich meets Santa Claus at his home in Lapland during 2015's event
The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) is returning to the Arctic Circle in 2017, with the organisation planning to host a three day SATE (Storytelling, Architecture, Technology, Experience) event in Rovaniemi, Finland.

Themed around “sustainable futures”, speakers for the SATE Academy Days will include international designers, architects and managers of sustainable environments, who will discuss a range of sustainable subjects, from materials to long term design.

Santa Park will once again play host, with last year’s event – themed around “design for extremes” – involving ice carving, reindeer radar, meeting Santa Claus and Finnish dining.

Open to TEA members, the Sustainable Futures event takes place between 7 and 9 February, costing US$350 (€334, £280) per person. For more information, click here.
