IAAPA attendees offered exclusive multi-player free-roam VR experience
POSTED 11 Nov 2016 . BY Alice Davis
Zero Latency opened the first V Play Reality multi-player virtual reality arena in Melbourne, Australia, in 2015
Visitors to next week’s IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando, Florida, are being offered the chance to experience a large-scale virtual reality game, V Play Reality.

V Play Reality, developed and presented by Zero Latency, is a free-roaming, interactive VR game for multiple players. The company opened its first warehouse-size facility in Melbourne, Australia, in 2015. Two more Zero Latency arenas are opening soon, one at Main Event Entertainment at Pointe Orlando, and one in Madrid, Spain.

IAAPA attendees can get a preview of the Pointe Orlando attraction before it opens to the public as part of the brand new Main Event Entertainment bowling and entertainment complex. According to Zero Latency, V Play Reality facilities can have an area of up to 4,000sq ft (372 sq m) and six people can play at the same time.

The company has developed its own patent-pending motion-tracking technology, which works with up to 16 participants, allowing each to move freely around the space in the game, monitor other players and control their own “weapon”. Game lengths and themes can be changed, giving operators flexibility and freedom.

“Zero Latency game experiences are extremely immersive with free exploration of richly themed and hyper realistic game environments,” said Zero Latency co-founder and CEO Tim Ruse.

“Our unique approach allows for game session lengths and themes to be completely changed instantly, giving operators the flexibility to offer a range of superlative gaming experiences from zombie hunting to space adventure to family-friendly puzzles, which bring players back over and over again,” he said.

IAAPA attendees who are interested in registering should visit www.iaapa.zerolatencyvr.com as soon as possible, as space will be limited. Attendees can also find out more at Zero Latency’s booth, number 262.

“Warehouse-scale, free-roam, virtual reality gaming simply cannot be created at home,” said Main Event Entertainment CEO Charlie Keegan. “Zero Latency is a perfect match for the state of-the-art attractions featured at Main Event Entertainment at Pointe Orlando.”

The fast-growing Main Event bowling and entertainment chain is in 20 locations across the US.
