GymWorks in Chorley, Lancashire, has become the first health club in the UK to introduce Precor’s new Spinner Rally bikes to its Spinning studio.

The independent gym has upgraded from its existing 26 indoor cycles to 31 new Spinner Rally bikes as it seeks to increase capacity and offer additional Spinning classes to meet demand.

“The buzz the bikes have created is extremely favourable and we’ve even had members re-join the gym because of them,” said Peter Guy, director at GymWorks.

“We’re also benefitting from raised attendance levels, which will have a positive impact on retention in the long-run.”

Having secured an exclusive worldwide agreement in September 2015 with Mad Dogg Athletics – creator of the Spinning indoor cycling programme – to assume all commercial production for a new line of Spinner indoor cycling equipment, Precor launched the Spinner Rally bike in March. The bike is the first in a series of three set to be introduced to the indoor cycling market.

Each bike at Gymworks has been fitted with a Spinning Studio console, which automatically pairs with any ANT+ compatible heart rate monitor. The console also features a large backlit display indicating cadence (pedal RPM), heart rate/pulse, time, distance and calories along with a low battery indicator.
