eGym UK names Andrew Bagnall as sales director
POSTED 04 Apr 2016 . BY Jak Phillips
Andrew Bagnall boasts 20-years of fitness industry experience
eGym UK has secured the services of industry veteran Andrew Bagnall, who as sales director will spearhead the fitness supplier’s charge into the UK market, working with country head Jochen Michaelis.

eGym – which produces electric resistance machine circuits backed by regular software updates and retention solutions – has set out plans to ramp up the expansion of its product suite after raising US$45m (€40m, £32m) worth of investment in its latest funding round.

The Germany-based company sees significant opportunities for its UK arm and hopes Bagnall’s 20-years of fitness industry experience will help it to make headway.

Bagnall recently left Keiser UK after serving a year as commercial director and has also worked for firms such as Polar-Heart Rate Monitors and Forza Fitness Equipment.

“This is a very exciting opportunity to capitalise on the huge success eGym has experienced in the European fitness market, and bring it to the UK,” said Bagnall.

“The UK fitness market is now ready for a completely interactive digital solution, delivering a better member experience when training in the gym. Having worked for several innovation fitness training companies over the years and having been an elite triathlete, I am a great advocate in monitoring and analysing training data to track and achieve optimum training results.”
