Pure World Energy has secured the services of leisure industry veteran Steve Bambury, who has joined the energy management specialist as director of operations.

Bambury arrives from operator 1Life, where he spent 17 years accumulating energy and environment management experience in a variety of roles – most recently as regional director. During this stint, he played a key part in helping 1Life to win the Flame ‘Go Green’ Award for environmental excellence in 2014 and 2015.

In his new role, Bambury is responsible for the operational delivery of the business and ensuring installations, energy performance contracts and service level agreements are project managed and delivered to the highest standard.

“After spending nearly two decades working in leisure management, I’m eager to take on the new opportunities that being part of Pure World Energy will bring,” said Bambury.

“There is so much growth within the energy reduction market and it’s exciting to be involved so early in the company’s journey. My focus is to ensure PWE meets the needs of all our clients and further strengthen our reputation as the energy partner of choice to the leisure market and beyond.”
