Robust roll-out plans for GoodLife Fitness
POSTED 29 Feb 2016 . BY Kath Hudson
GoodLife is now setting its sights on more than 500 low-cost clubs across Canada in the coming years
Canadian operator GoodLife Fitness is on target to reach its goal of 100 low-cost clubs open by the spring.

The company – which has more than 250 GoodLife Fitness and Énergie Cardio clubs in Canada (the latter being in Quebec only) – launched the Fit4Less and Éconofitness (Quebec) chains in 2011.

The low-cost clubs – which are open 24 hours a day – offer strength training equipment, free weights and cardio equipment as well as a 30-minute express circuit.

Fit4Less offers memberships for C$8.99 a month for a 4Less membership, which includes access to one club of choice. For C$18.99 a month, a Black Card membership gives access to all club locations, benefits such as half price cooler drinks, the opportunity to share the membership with friends and family, and massage chairs. Éconofitness offers memberships starting at C$120 a year, payable at C$10 a month, which also includes virtual group classes.

"People are amazed when they walk into one of our Fit4Less or Éconofitness clubs," says founder and CEO David ‘Patch’ Patchell-Evans. "The clubs are pristine, spacious and offer a huge variety of top of the line equipment, all for such a low cost. In four short years, we're already on target to open 100 clubs by the spring and there’s so much more opportunity across the country for growth and development of this club model."
