Everyone Health secures ‘landmark’ contract for Cambridgeshire's lifestyle services
POSTED 14 May 2015 . BY Jak Phillips
The Everyone Health team bids to foster greater integration between health, wellbeing and leisure professionals
Everyone Health – Sports and Leisure Management’s (SLM) public health division – has won a “landmark” £4.5m contract to manage lifestyle services on behalf of Cambridgeshire County Council.

The three-year partnership, which starts in June, will see Everyone Health tasked with improving the health and wellbeing of local communities. It will employ an integrated approach, combining services for physical and mental health – including exercise and weight management services – through a range of one-to-one and group delivery options.

“This is a landmark contract for Everyone Health,” said Annie Holden, head of Public Health at Everyone Health. “Our aim is to provide more people in Cambridgeshire with the on-going support and education they need to make improved, healthier lifestyle choices.”

The Cambridgeshire contract follows a similar-sized £5m recent win in Nottinghamshire, as Everyone Health begins to gain a foothold in the public health delivery sector. The company hopes its extensive experience in leisure provision – through sister arm Everyone Active – will enable it to provide comprehensive wellbeing solutions.

Lifestyle services are becoming an increasingly vital cog of public health, with the physical activity sector well-positioned to offer its expertise and advice in this area. A recent feature in Health Club Management magazine examined what’s currently on offer and found that science and technology are playing a key role in innovating programmes and increasing their effectiveness.
