BMF promotes Mark Wood to head training tutor
POSTED 29 Sep 2014 . BY Jak Phillips
BMF has seen a hive of personnel activity recently, with Wood’s promotion following several high-profile appointments
Outdoor exercise provider British Military Fitness (BMF) has announced the appointment of Mark Wood as its new head training tutor.

A nine-year health and fitness industry veteran, Wood joined BMF five-years-ago as an instructor and has quickly risen through the ranks. His new role will focus on the continuous improvement of the quality and consistency of instruction in a bid to ensure members receive high quality sessions every time they train.

Having trained at Discovery Learning in West London, Wood is a well-regarded instructor – working extensively with everybody from fitness first timers to team GB athletes – who will use his experience and Sports and Exercise Science degree as a solid working platform for his new role.

“I still find that my passion always comes back to where it all started – personal training,” said Wood.

“I love helping people to achieve results, passing on my knowledge and experience and helping the company to deliver some top quality and serious, but fun, training sessions.”

BMF has seen a hive of personnel activity recently, with Wood’s promotion coming soon after the return of original BMF founder Harry Sowerby as company chair. This summer also saw the appointment of new marketing head Casey Williams, as well as new head of operations and training Garry Kerr, as the company seeks to expand its bootprint across the outdoor fitness market.
