The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has revealed that London is one of just two cities to have submitted a bid to host the 2017 World Championships.
Last month, UK Athletics (UKA) confirmed that it had lodged its application to host the event with the packing of UK Sport, London and Partners and the government.
Doha, Qatar, is the other city to have submitted its bid for the 2017 World Championships ahead of the IAAF's 1 September deadline for receipt of the necessary documents.
