CYQ secures South African fitness deal

CYQ branches out to South Africa

UK-based award body CYQ has established a quality assurance partnership with South Africa's Sector Education and Training Authority, Theta (Tourism, Hospitality, Gaming and Lotteries, Guiding and Nature Conservation and Sport, Recreation and Fitness).

The partnership will see Theta carrying out quality assurance activities on behalf of CYQ in South Africa.

Theta will monitor and audit CYQ's Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing and CYQ's Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training qualifications, which are now being undertaken by CYQ's approved South African centres.

CYQ currently has three approved training providers in South Africa: ETA, HFPA and Fitness Professionals*, already approved by Theta to offer FETC-Fitness NLRD 63669 (Level 4) and National Certificate: Fitness 3374 (Level 5).
