With help from UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), Worcestershire-based Radford Ezy Net has been awarded the contract to provide cricket netting systems for next year's Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean.
The Radford Ezy Net system is a leading portable and demountable net system and is simply retracted and stored when not in use.
This makes it ideal for use in the World Cup where there are nine major Test venues and 18 practice areas spread across the islands of Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana, Grenada and Trinidad.
Neal Radford, Managing Director of Radford Ezy Net, is a former England and Worcestershire player and ex-Wisden Cricketer of the Year and commented: "The World Cup is a major sporting event and the kudos for us to be involved is terrific.
"Obviously cricket is very close to my heart as an ex-international player, and I am looking forward to providing quality services and products for a quality event."
He went on to praise the support received from UKTI which organised a trade visit to the Caribbean specifically to find export opportunities for West Midlands companies.
