After debuting at IHRSA earlier this year, the Functional Trainer from Matrix Fitness Systems has now arrived in the UK.
Expected to market at £4500 + VAT, it’s said by the company to be the answer for customers who’ve been seeking a ‘Swiss army knife’ of training which both delivers rapid results for the most diverse range of customers and helps drive their PT revenue.
By combining new features and accessories in one station, the Functional Trainer offers over 200 exercise choices with 56 upper, lower, core and full body movements.
Aimed at delivering optimum results whether training for general strength and sport-specific motion or for everyday fitness, the station can also be used for sport specific exercises, from rock climbing to golf or cricket, to kayaking.
It’s also said to be ideal for high-speed sports training movements, such as throwing or swinging, and athletes can even take on run-based power training using the weight stack’s 4.5m of cable travel.
Like all new generation Matrix products, the user is central to every aspect of the design whether it be the clever stow step for shorter users or the swiveling accessory panel, an innovation which not only keeps all of the exercise accessories within easy reach, but also helps keep a clutter-free workout area.
