South Yorkshire-based sports trust Barnsley Premier Leisure (BPL) has recently achieved the STAmark.
The award is recognised as the definitive standard for swim school businesses in the UK, for which Barnsley Premier Leisure achieved a score of 85 per cent.
Dave Redfern, leisure operations manager at Barnsley Premier Leisure, said: "Achieving such a high standard in this award is testament to our highly committed and dedicated team, who work tirelessly to ensure swimmers, both young and old, benefit from the very best swimming instruction.
"The STAmark is recognised throughout the UK and just goes to show that our five swimming venues offer some of the best tuition in the country."
Steve Franks, the STA's operations director, said; "It was clear from the STAmark Assessment at Barnsley Premier Leisure that the team responsible for managing and developing the Swim Programme is committed to the principles of continuous improvement.
"Wherever possible they have ensured that all those involved in the delivery of the programme maintain the highest possible standards in all areas."
