Pub retailer Eldridge Pope has appointed a new general manager to deal with its urban sites. David Brooks will be responsible for the development and enhancement of 39 of the company's total estate of 182 managed and tenanted pubs; 16 Toad bars, and 23 Town houses. Currently head of operations with Pontins, Mr Brooks previously managed hotel services for P&0 at Portsmouth. Eldridge Pope operations director Nick Potter welcomed Mr Brooks arrival: We are delighted that David Brooks has agreed to join us. His extensive experience in the leisure industry will enable us to progress our long term strategy of growing the business, particularly the Toad bars, and increasing profitability.
