Fitness First has launched a new free digital fitness hub, offering users a wide range of virtual classes and training sessions.

Called FitX Player, the online resource will provide popular classes such as HIIT, Yoga, Pilates – as well as Fitness First's exclusive SHRED class, which combines lifting with a HIIT-based class to drive calorie burn and strength and conditioning.

Launching on "Blue Monday" – 18 January – the third Monday of January, which is often dubbed the ‘saddest day of the year’ – the hub will offer both live classes and more than 50 on-demand sessions.

FitX Player's programming and support has been designed for all types of fitness levels, as part of plans to make it accessible for everyone in the UK.

The launch will see FitX offer a full schedule of live boutique classes, "curated for all appetites".

"With the UK in the midst of its third national lockdown – and many online workouts having been exhausted throughout 2020 – we are on a mission to shake up the nation’s fitness journey and support everyone to build and maintain healthy mindsets," Fitness First said.

"Now is more important than ever to create positive fitness habits and we're delighted to announce the launch of FitX Player, a free fitness hub with an incredible schedule of virtual classes, from HIIT to SHRED, Yoga, Pilates and more."
