Late night bar and nightclub operator, Po Na Na has announced a 30 per cent increase in group turnover in its interim results. Turnover in the 27 weeks to 30 September 2001 increased to £17.2m with operating profit up 27 per cent to £1.4m, thanks in part to strong performances in the company's Reading, Leicester, Cambridge, Bath, Putney, Wimbledon and Edinburgh sites. The company also reported a particularly strong performance from its Hammersmith venue. Regarded as the flagship for the Po Na Na brand, the site was relaunched in February and broke-even on sales of £1.49m, which compares to an overall loss of £0.67m in the same period last year.
