Chester Zoo’s Chimpanzee Forest has had a new wireless PA system installed.
Supplied by Fisher Audio-Visual, it allows the presentational team to give talks about chimpanzees and their behaviour at a level which can be heard by the visitors whilst not disturbing the animals.
Presenters use a Sennheiser Evolution 3000 radio microphone broadcasting to an amplifier located in an outbuilding hidden in the undergrowth of the forest. Similarly well hidden loudspeakers are situated in such a way as to provide the necessary sound distribution to wherever visitors happen to be standing.
Fisher AV has installed similar systems elsewhere in the zoo in the past, the attraction now having a wide range of data projectors, digital cameras, cabling and sound systems in use throughout its 110-acre site.
