Ahead of the festive season, De Boer Structures has been appointed a supplier of temporary accommodation for temporary ice rink projects at 10 separate locations across the country.
Contracts will involve the company's Alu Hall structures being used at locations across London, including at Kew Gardens, the Tower of London, Hampton Court and the Old Royal Naval College at Greenwich. At Hampstead Heath, De Boer will be constructing two of its Pyramid structures for use alongside a temporary rink being created there. The company is additionally providing the rink bases for all of the assignments in the capital.
At London's Natural History Museum, where a temporary ice rink has been created complete with changing, office and dining facilities, De Boer has provided a Delta double-decker structure, to ensure that maximum use can be made of the restricted site available in front of the museum. The company has provided other services including ramps, flooring for the rink area and fit-out for part of the Delta structure.
Elsewhere in the UK, other projects will see the supply of an Alu Hall structure alongside a temporary rink being created in Alexandra Gardens, Windsor, and the installation of a scaffold sub-base and flooring for a temporary rink created at The Mall retail park at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol.
Flooring is also being supplied for a temporary ice rink being created at Chester Zoo, while a further Alu Hall structure is being erected for use alongside a temporary ice rink being created at Millennium Square, Leeds, between January and March 2007.
