New to the UK is a floor-cleaning machine that uses just plain tap water.
Distributed in the UK by Chapel Cleaning Machines, Tennent Company's 'ec-H20' technology is designed to clean without the use of chemicals while also being friendly to the environment.
It works by infusing the water with highly oxygenated micro bubbles, before passing through a 'water cell' where a low electrical current is applied.
The 'charged' water then 'attacks' the grime and pulls it away from the floor surface. Scrubber pads or brushes are then able to remove the suspended dirt.
The device also requires no health and safety training, protective goggles or gloves with residue also becoming obsolete.
George Brigham, General Manager at Chapel Cleaning Machines says: "Without the need to purchase separate chemicals, the ec-H20 equipment will easily pay for itself in a year. We even estimate some models in the range will pay for themselves in a mere 15 weeks."
