CheckFree chosen for Titan clubs

Titan Fitness, an investment company and Gold's Gym franchisee, is to use club management software and outsourced billing services from CheckFree Health & Fitness at all the clubs it operates.
The services are currently in use at eight Titan Fitness clubs, with six additional clubs scheduled for implementation in the spring of 2008.
Titan also has plans to open or acquire ten additional Gold’s Gym clubs in 2008.
CheckFree Managed Data Services, an outsourced billing service available in conjunction with CheckFree club management software, will also be used at all the clubs managed by Titan Fitness.
Billing and routine back office tasks will be handled by CheckFree, while each club will have up-to-the-minute access to member information via the club management software interface.
Clubs will maintain ownership of member data, and can enter information about payments made at the club directly into the club management system, eliminating concerns about double-billing.
Titan says it will utilise the data management and business intelligence features of the CheckFree software to obtain and analyse functional data on club and amenity usage.
This will allow each club to tailor services to best meet the needs of members, and will also be analysed as a whole to identify trends that could have an impact on club usage and profitability.
CheckFree is now part of Fiserv, Inc., which provides information management and electronic commerce systems and services to the financial and insurance industries.
