Rival attractions HM Tower of London and Madame Tussaud's have launched a new joint ticket initiative in a bid to counteract the recent downturn in tourism. The public will be able to buy one adult ticket at a 25 per cent discount price of £17.50 for both attractions during a trial in December and January. The companies will then assess ticket numbers and decide whether to continue with the scheme and expand it to work together on other attractions. The Tower is also offering new twilight ghost walks around the most haunted parts of the 900-year-old fortress, and visits to the scaffold site to read inscriptions made by prisoners before they were executed. Groups of 30 to 150 can also have two or three course lunches after exploring the Tower.
