| £11m leisure centre to launch in Carshalton |

A leisure centre in Carshalton, South London is set to open later this month, following a £11.3m redevelopment.
The former Westcroft Leisure Centre on Westcroft Road has undergone a major refurbishment programme that included the demolition of old swimming pools and the removal of asbestos from the 1970s structure.
The revamped centre will be under the management of Everybody Active.
Facilities at the new centre will include a 160-gym station, a 25m eight-lane swimming pool, a 20-m training pool and an eight-court sports hall hosting badminton, basketball, netball, gymnastics and trampolining.
The centre will also house a day spa, group exercise studio, dance and spinning studios, a creche, café and library.
An open day will be held on January 26th for local residents to view the recent renovations.
